Cable between power shower in upstairs bathroom and fusebox (dirctly below) needs changing. in Village

Job description:power shower has one of those on and off switches in corridor which has a red light to show when power is on. switch was getting extremely hot and has now completely stopped working. I checked to see if there are any loose wires behind switch and found wires with a brownish burnt appearance. i think cable needs changing from fusebox to the shower unit which is almost directly above the fusebox which is located under stairs.
