Job description:I am in the process of purchasing a Victorian 3-bed semi-detached property. The building survey has advised that a professional inspection of the electrical system is required prior to exchange of contracts. I understand that the fuse box/es are of the old rewireable fuse type and may require some repairs/upgrading. I would therefore like quotes for: a) Replacement of old fuse box/es with modern "trip switch" style units and associated repairs to wiring. b) If recommended, complete re-wiring of the property. I am intending to go ahead with the purchase and would be looking to have a) above carried out soon afterwards. If b) is recommended, this is likely to be put on hold for a year or so until I look to carry out other building work to the property.
