Assess current electrics and rewire first floor 2 bedroom flat. in Saltwell

Job description:First floor flat in Saltwell area of Bensham. I have looked at the electrics and the sockets look outdated and I suspect was done in the 1970s. I would want to have the majority of the wiring redone and some/most of the sockets moved. I am not sure of the condition of the electrics. There are a few additions that mean that the electrics are somewhat confusing - such as the intercom system, a few telephone/broadband provider ports. There is a gas fire place, and either side they have shelving units with sockets in - I am planning to remove these and would like to remove the electrical sockets from these. Currently the electric metre is on the landing - I would be interested in whether this could be moved? (very much depends on cost) Overall, I think it is a job requiring assessment of current electrics and rewire them in a more sensible manner.
