Job description:• Junction box outside for the outside lighting is not waterproof and requires replacement. • Cables to the outside lights are poorly installed and require re-fastening. • Supply that is going to shed/out building is in poor condition and requires either removal or replacement. • Existing consumer unit (fuse board) does not satisfy current regulations and requires replacement. • There is no earthing present to the existing incoming water supply (this is a mandatory requirement to comply with building regulations). This requires adding to the nearest point where the pipe work enters the building. • The earthing to the existing gas supply is currently undersized and will need replacing. • There is no evidence of any earthing within the existing lighting circuit. • There was a poor insulation reading on the kitchen ring main (sockets). This is a note as it could be due to a damp location or showing signs of deterioration in the insulation of the cabling itself.
