Power not getting to electric shower in Hawkley

Job description:I have an electric shower that is not working. We called out an engineer from the shower company and he said there was no problem with the shower unit and that the problem was with the supply to the shower unit, which was not something he could do anything about. I inspected the wiring to the shower cord switch unit and discovered the wiring was heavily corroded and the earth wire was bare. I removed the corroded material and reconnected the wires, but was unable to do anything about the bare wire, and the shower still did not work. I don't know if the corroded wire or bare earth wire are signs of the problem.
