Light in bedroom not working, fit dimmer and plug socket with on/off switch. in Milnrow

Job description:I have recently bought a house. In the main bedroom there was a 3 bulb light and fan. Whilst I can operate the light and the fan from the cords attached to the unit neither work from the main switch on the wall. I replaced the light and fan with a single pendant bulb but the light stayed on. I noticed, when fitting the light pendant and then checking the switch, that at one end (the light/fan) the wires are blue and brown and at the other end (in the main swicth) they are black and red! I would like a dimmer switch fitting as well as the aforementioned problem sorting out. Also I would like a double plug socket to be changed for a double plug socket with off/on switches. Thank you.
