Two/Three plug sockets & switches upstairs, blow fuse box when used in Gnosall

Job description:Two rooms/landing & three plug sockets (plus one light switch)... one being a double unit are faulty (we have taped over them for safety reasons) the 2 rooms are bedrooms, in one bedroom the light switch also seems to blow the main safety fuse box when used (this also has been taped over so that it can no longer be used)... plug socket on the landing is also taped over...the double unit socket is in the main bedroom & it's not being used beause we can't put a plug into it... think it may need adjusting?
