Rewire from Heater timer to thermostat to water pump in Landore

Job description:British Gas inspected water heater pump as thought it was faulty. Pump was fine but checks said that wiring from Timer to thermostat to water pump need replacing. Timer On downstairs wall next to gas fire. Thermostat on opposite wall and water pump upstairs. Would it be easier/cheaper to put new thermostat on same wall as timer? as part of work?
