Job description:I've recently had a new integral dishwasher installed. Due to a faulty connection it leaked, resulting in water under the laminate floor causing swelling and warping. The installing company acknowlege responsibility and have instructed me to obtain a quotation for a replacement laminate floor. The original Pergo floor was laid about 4 years ago, then the kitchen fitted on top. The laminate floor goes under the kitchen cabinets. I've spoke with a flooring company who tell me the complete kitchen cabinets need to come out, new floor installed, then cabinets put back (they didn't see the kitchen, discussion over phone). I'm not convinced the cabinets need to removed first (hassle and disruption), but if it does, so be it.
