Job description: I have a solid wood floor that I need to be fitted in my lounge and small hall area. In total approximately 18.5M2 . I have removed some old laminate flooring from the area exposing a concrete floor that has bitumen adhesive on it from some old lino floor tiles that have been removed. I need you to prepare the concrete subfloor by either removing the bitumen with grit blasting or another method that enables the ash flooring to be glued down securely. The concrete may also need levelling in some places. Having prepared the concrete floor I then need you to fit the timber flooring itself. The existing skirting boards which are very shallow will have been removed in advance - I will refit new skirting boards myself after the job is complete in order to cover the expansion gap around the edge of the floor. You must have experience of all this and be able to complete the work to a high standard
