Job description:I have a very small garden with a grassed and a gravelled area. The garden is on slight slope, the front fence being the highest part. There is a path leading from the garden gate on a downward slope to the back door. I would like the garden to be levelled at two heights - the first level starting about a yard from the gate and this to be slabbed then steps leading down to the next level - that being nearest to the back door. This area to have a gravel surface. I keep two hens and, whilst I don't mind then rooting about under shrubs I want the main surfaces to be hen proof and any parts for flowering plants to be made into rockeries which the hens would find hard to dig out. I have drawn up a plan to show what I am looking for but am happy to be advised as to alternative ideas and changes to my layouts
