Heating working on boiler but hot water working intermittently in Rednal

Needed: Heating Engineer in Rednal, B45

Job submitted:Aug 31, 2010

Job description:Hi, We have a heatline gas boiler which does the heating and hot water. The heating works fine. The hotwater has a problem which is getting worse each day. When running the hot water, the pilot light would come on and the water would heat up, stay hot for a while and then the light would go out and it would go cold. The pilot would come back on, on it's own and it would heat up again, then go off again and this would keep happening. When the problem first started, the hot water would be on for longer than off and we could run a full bath of hot water. Each day the amount of time the pilot light is on for is getting less and less, so we are now getting as much cold water as hot and cannot fill a bath with hot water, it is luke warm at best. Help desperately needed.

Budget:I'm not sure
