Cannot find gas valve in Bank Hall

Job description:Our chimmney had been boraded up by the previous owner but we have decided to put a fir in however there is a pipe leading to the chimmney but no valve to turn the gas supply on. We have looked every where we cannot find the valave and the pipe is new.
