Job description:I currently have a gas fire on the ground floor that was declared unsafe ~10 years ago and needs replacing. Initially this gas fire needs disconnecting so that the chimney can be inspected. I also have a gas line going to an adjacent room that used to have a gas fire, this line needs capping so that the unused point can be safely removed. Once the chimney has been inspected/repaired a new gas fire will need to be installed - so this may be a 2 part job depending on a. state of the chimney b. whether i need to get someone else to do the chimney work.
