Boiler not firing up when switch on but pump running constantly. in Horsfield

Job description:I have a Vaillant VCW Sine 18 combi boiler which has stopped working. The power is still getting through and the pilot light remains on. However when it is switched on the main burners will not ignite but there is a noise on all the time which sounds like the pump is permanently running. Also prior to this the filling loop screw sheared off due to corrosion and there is currently no way to refill the system and the upstairs radiators are cold. I think the pressure guage is faulty too. I am hopefully looking to repair the boiler as i believe it is a good one but also i don't intend on staying in my house for much longer as it will shortly be going on the market. If the only option is to replace then that is what i will have to do but i'd much rather try and get it repaired.
