Replace boiler/flue & 4 rads in Epsom in Town
Needed: Heating Engineer in Town, KT17
Job submitted:Apr 3, 2011
Job description:Gas-safe engineer required for boiler replacement. Official "Declaration of Safety" or "Building Regulation Compliance" certificate required at end of job. The job is: (a) replace old non-condensing boiler with new Glow-worm Flexicom 15hx condensing, (b) install four new radiators with valves in place of old ones, (c) replace non-functioning divertor valve with a new one, (d) any necessary flushing, refilling, bleeding, balancing to commission system and ensure it functions correctly. System is open vented. Boiler repositioning (20 cm to the right) will require new wale hole for flue and bricking old hole. Rads are: one under-window living room rad (600x1600), one vertical kitchen rad (1800x600), two under-window bedroom rads (600x1200). Pipework is exposed along the wall downstairs, and emerges from the floorboards upstairs. New rads are slightly different sizes to old rads, so new piping, mounting and (for upstairs only) holes in floorboards are required. Only known problem with current system is that existing divertor valve (Honeywell V4043H) in the airing cupboard only functions correctly in manual mode, so needs replacing. Customer will provide boiler, flue, new rads, TRVs, lockshields, reflector foil and divertor valve. System will be drained and old rads removed before you arrive.
Budget:Under £1,000
