Job description:Potterton condensing boiler installed 5 years ago and ran 7 rads. Extension built 3 years ago and 4 rads added. Original system had copper half inch piping. Builder has used plastic small bore pipes. New additions cannot seem to give off enough heat unless all the original rads are closed down. When boiler was checked advised it was sludge in the system. It was then chemically cleaned - twice - within a couple of months. Affected radiators were taken off and hosed through. No improvement. Turned down the lockshield valves on the older system and there is a slight improvement but the extension is still freezing. All rads have individual thermo controls.
