Ravenheat Boiler pilot light goes on and off when heating tunred on. Hot water working fine. in Seven Stars

Job description:Ravenheat HE85T Condensing Central heating boiler firing up when heating turned on but then pilot light goes off after a few seconds and then fires up again. Does this continually whilst heating set to ON. Hot water working fine. Previous engineer tried installing a new thermister and changed the circuit board(??) but that didnt work. Was advised to change the boiler to something more reliable - but can't afford new boiler and as it's working (albeit at 50% efficiency) I'm sure it can't be anything too serious?!
