Job description:I have a Wallstar combi boiler for my oil-fired heating. I moved into the property last week and the boiler keeps showing an amber light for 'lockout'. When I restart it the heating works for a short while then locksout again. My neighbour bled the pipes as there was a large air bubble visible in the clear piping in the external part of the boiler. He thought this may of happened because the previous owner had let the oil run out. This seemed to fix the problem for a day or so then the lockout light appeared again. Each time this happens there is an air bubble so I bleed the pipe and restart the boiler. However, the time between the boiler locking out is getting shorter and I'm not sure if air is somehow getting into the system.
