To fit 6 x Thermostatic valves on radiators in Parklands

Needed: Heating Engineer in Parklands, NN3

Job submitted:Apr 29, 2010

Job description:We have a problem in that when our heating is off but water is on the upstairs radiators and one hall radiator are still coming on hot. I know the problem is down to a check valve not working on the pump which is pretty old, but I believe that to replace that would also require a new cylinder and complete re-wiring which will be expensive (unless you can advise differently). The obvious solution appears to be to go ahead with the thermostatic valves on all the rads except the hall ones where the thermostat is. Another thing to be aware of is that one plumber that visited last year advises that the because the tank is an old fortic tank there may be some risk in draining it. The drain off point is from the rad in the living room. Other than than this fault the heating system still works perfectly so don't really want to replace the whole system. Basically I'm looking for someone who can drain the system and source and fit a 6 thermostatic valves on the rads.

Budget:£100 - £250
