Job description:I have an economy 7 immersion heater that is no longer heating water in the tank overnight. The 'boost' feature that heats the top half of the tank is working properly. I think the heater is connected to a deprecate fuse box that activates during economy 7 times automatically and switches the heating element in the tank on, the boost feature is connected to the main fuse box do that it can be used at any time. From my very limited knowledge and reading websites it would appear that the most likely cause is that the heating element inside the tank has stopped working (my understanding is that it works like a massive kettle!)
