Repair job. I have hot water but no ch ( possible diverter valve problem) in Parkgate

Job description:My hot water is fine. my ch wont work. The heating is operated by wireless programmer which is obviously ok cos when i turn the temp setting up the boiler fires up initially for a couple of seconds but then goes off and doesnt come on again. After this the water from the tap seems to be hotter than normal. The boiler is a worcester bosch 24i greenstar junior.
