Needs an overhaul with a new cupboard built and new work tops. in Greenford Green
Needed: Kitchen Specialist in Greenford Green, UB6
Job submitted:May 21, 2011
Job description:We moved the kitchen 14 years ago and kept most of the units and doors but obviously had a new worktop. We also moved the boiler at the same time. The kitchen has kitchens direct cupboards with solid light oak doors. We bought a few new doors at the time as the move created a bit more cupboard space. Unfortunately, the guy who did the fitting did not do exactly what I asked and only left a 50cm space for the boiler on the wall rather than the 60cm I put in my diagram. Since then we needed a new boiler which was difficult with so little space and this has left the kitchen looking a bit odd. Our builder tried to save money by building a cheap cupboard around the 50cm space for the boiler but it is not a proper cupboard and is difficult when they come to service the boiler. The worktop is now a bit stained and worn. The Dishwasher sticks out slightly. So we really need the kitchen sorted and want someone who can give advice about which way to go. Advice about how to incorporate a proper cupboard for the boiler which may involve moving all the cupboards along that wall by a further 10cm. (Not very nice I know). Possibly this could allow for a bit more space so the dishwasher can fit better. The worktops are really worn and stained now and could do with new ones. I am not sure how difficult that is. The doors are still not too bad and it may be that we can keep them as they are solid oak doors. Some of the ceramic tiles on the floor are chipped and cracked. It would be great to sort those but that is a big job on a solid floor. The cupboards opposite are ok really apart from the worktop.
