Job description:The loft space is under a conventional residential pitched roof. The dwelling is a brick detached residence, built in 1910 in central West Bridgford. The roof is clad with Rosemary clay tiles with two transverse brick walls that extend approx. i metre above the joists to the rafters.(purloins?). The conversion involves: 1. cleaning the existing space, and weatherproofing the roof so that wind blown dust and dirt do not ingress.. 2. insulation of the roof, compatible with using the space for storage. 3. the provision of one or two velox windows. 4. the laying of floorboards over the joists. 5. Extending the existing electric lighting to the whole loft. 6. Possible new loft entrance and loft ladder (the current one is in the bathroom). A roof survey prepared by a chartered building surveyor will be available.
