Job description:The existing loft room overlooks the road to the front of the house and is above the master bedroom. We would like to extend it over the second main bedroom to overlook our rear garden through a dormer style window. Ideally, we would hope to expand 'sideways' towards the gable end of the house over our hall and kitchen to gain extra width. This should enable us to do away with the exisiting stairwell leading up through the middle of the loft room and instead extend the main stairwell at the gable end of the house. We would not be prepared to compromise existing accommodation, however, ie cutting into our third 1st floor bedroom to make way for the extended stairwell. The existing loft room measures 3.76m x 3.12 plus 1.85 m x 1.22 m including stairwell . The latter measurement is the area afforded by the dormer window.
