Job description:Modifying my existing L5.0m x L2.2m wrought iron gate (The gate is hot dipped galvanised and powder coat painted). The gate needs to be reduced in height to approx 1.4 M, with the length remaining the same. This is a new cantilever automated sliding gate weighing approx 400 Kg. I would like to keep the same design so my thoughts are to cut all uprights above the centre and lower the current top to achieve the desired height, obviously the cantilever end will need re-working. To re-hang the gate both uprights will need to be reduced a corresponding amount. The work will entail the removal of the gate, the forge work, re-protecting, and re-installation, with all safety edges reduced in length accordingly (4 safety edges in total).
