Decorating a 2000 sq ft flat in St Margaret's

Job description:Moving into large flat towards the end of August. We will be doing construction work in the next 12 - 18 months on that and the bottom flat which we are also buying (to turn back both back into a house), but in the meantime we would like to paint over the existing pale yellow (and couple of burgundy feature walls). ie need a quick cover-up job because the whole house will need to be redone in the next couple of years anyway. The existing condition of walls is very good. Paintwork is gloss which I would like rubbed down and painted over with satin paint if poss (or maybe just rubbed down?). Not absolutely necessary that the woodwork is done. There is a wide hall, a largish kitchen, two bathrooms (very small wall space to paint) two reception rooms and three bedrooms. The hall, kitchen and reception rooms are the priority. Thanks very much.
