Job description:* Gypsum board over external wall - bond to brickwork and up/around UPVC window leaving an air gap for air to circulate behind plaster board. Plaster has been removed due to repairs making good water ingress & damp damage. * Make good existing plaster work to internal walls, party walls and ceiling as required. * Skim finish all walls ready for painting. * If considered a good idea, board over ceiling and drop ceiling rose - lath & plaster most likely in poor condition. (History: some dry rot found when upgrading bathroom over Christmas, which had grown between outside wall inner brick course and original plaster - internal wooden lintels required replacing to first floor windows plus some skirting and dado railing removed due to rot. Redundant solid fuel air vent bricks that were plastered over but not bricked up were the cause of the problem. These had allowed damp to enter wall. House is 1929 mid terrace, so majority lath and plaster.) Looking for a quality job by someone prepared to take the time necessary to achieve a quality finish. Walls will be stripped by owner but some finishing and prep work may still be required as part of job scope. Good money paid for a good job done by an experienced tradesman. Quality more important than price.
