Dab palstering ventilation? and replastering wall in Worsley

Job description:Fireplace fitted with gas fire. Gas fire has caused plaster to badly crack in the chemney breast area, wall getting too hot. Advice received, is that we need to have flue area dab plastered with a ventilation gap. Trying to locate a local plasterer who would understand this work and give me an estimate to carry out the remedial work.Housing Units Oldham are the supplier of the gas fire and have agreed to pay for the work as they recognise that they have recommended the wrong output fire.
