Historic building 14th Century, old plaster loose and falling off stonework, re-plaster in Hingham
Needed: Plasterer / Renderer in Hingham, NR9
Job submitted:Jun 14, 2011
Job description:Some existing plaster in large14th C church in Norfolk has come loose and is falling off. Need to remove remaing old plaster (about an inch thick, but needs checking). It is thought that there may be some movement of stonework due to variations in temperature, so some re-enforcement of plaster (possibly expanded metal pinned to stonework), or open to other suggestions to prevent plaster coming loose again in the future. Scaffolding would be required to be included. The work required is mainly the upper portions of the chancel arch and the tower arch. Would require proper quotations etc. Location Hingham Norfolk. The work may require a faculty from the church authorities, and this is a preliminary enquiry to determine who to request quotations and specifications from. Interested companies would need to visit the church and arrangements would nee to be made with the Rector and Church wardens. Contact me in the first instant and I will pass any information on.
Budget:Under £8,000
