Job description:I'm renovating a mid size 3 bed house and am looking for quotes for re-skimming all walls and ceilings. There might be the odd bit of plasterboarding that needs doing as well, but this job is mainly about the re-skim. The house is completely empty and free from obstructions, including all radiators, skirting boards and coving being removed before you start. It was covered head to toe in wallpaper, which upon removal has left most rooms with peeling paint underneath. Most of the walls are not that bad and I am toying with simply patching it up myself, but if someone can give me a good quote for a top quality finish then I can get on with other jobs. Can you provide a total price for job to include all labour and materials. Quality of finish will need to be absolutely perfect and ready to paint, so please don't quote unless you consider yourself extremely handy with a trowel and have the feedback to prove it. The total area to skim will be in the region of 250-300m2, so should take somewhere in the region of 6-7 days, assuming you can do 50m2/day. With this in mind I will be looking for quotes of £1200 and under. £150/day at 7 days = £1050. So that's the target.
