Job description:The thermostat on the shower is not working. The water temperature varies while shower is working. The other shower problem is with the waste pipe. There are noxious smells coming up through the waste outlet. On the exterior of the building the waste pipe joint appears to be loose. I don't know if this is a separate problem are part of the reason for the shower waste smelling.
