Job description:Invitation to Quote for Bathroom Refurbishment Works at Alexandra Residential Club, 27 Norfolk Road, Edgbaston. HCR are a relocation company who provide student accommodation at the above address. Within the building there are 6 large bathrooms and 2 small ones, which are in need of refurbishment. HCR would like to invite you to quote to undertake the works needed, so that the bathrooms are transformed into modern, clean rooms. Our plan is for the successful company to undertake the work on one bathroom (B floor long wing) during the 2-week University Easter holidays. If we are pleased with the outcome, then work on the remaining bathrooms can be completed during July and August where student occupancy will be minimal. HCR would like you to quote for refurbishing one bathroom, then additionally for the remaining 7. Quotes will need to be all-inclusive for the cost of all materials and labour with expected timescales. HCR will not pay any additional costs at a later date if the works take longer than expected. Quotes should be detailed with what you will be undertaking for each bathroom, as well as what materials and colours you recommend. Please bear in mind that the bathrooms will be heavily used and materials will need to be able to not only stand up to the job, but also be easily cleaned. All the bathrooms are in different conditions, with some needing more works than others. Some may need new flooring, ceilings or baths, whereas others may not. It is recommended that you look at each bathroom to assess the work required. We are happy for you to provide suggestions of how the bathrooms could be better set out, if you think the current layout could be improved. The drains in the showers are also not very efficient, so please include changes to this in your quote. Quotes and diagrams should be submitted by 13/03/09, and the successful candidate will be contacted by 20/03/09. Photographs of other bathroom refurbishments that you have undertaken, to show the quality of your previous work, would also be useful.
