Job description:To replace a toilet cistern ball valve The downstairs toilet drips from the overflow if it hasn't been flushed for a few hours. I changed the washer without effect. There is a tiny jet of water coming from what appears to be solid plastic near the top of the valve. The toilet was installed 15 years ago. It is on the (high pressure) main water supply. It has a bottom entry cistern. The existing plastic ball valve is about 265mm tall from the inside surface of the cistern. There is about 15mm of space above it. The ball valve has an arm about 200mm long (not including the ball). If there is a choice of valve for a replacement, I would rather pay more for a good product rather than the cheapest. Many thanks - I hope you can help.
