The hot water (gravity) part of the central heating system is inefficient (blocked?). in Barham

Needed: Plumber in Barham, IP6

Job submitted:Aug 3, 2011

Job description:The gravity side of the hot water/central heating system has been very inefficient following the drain down of the system for the replacement of a leaking radiator and lock shield valve (DIY job). I have added a cleaner to the header tank run for a week and then back flushed with the mains water supply, but there is no improvement. The system was fine before the initial drain down. The boiler is an oil fired non-condensing Thermecon and is approx. 3 years old. The system has always been dosed with Sentinel inhibitor. The pumped side of the system seems to be fine and the hot water is OK if the central heating is on.

Budget:Under £250
