Halstead Ace hot water does not engage, central heating does in College

Job description:We have a Halstead Ace 47 333 15 or 47 333 16 Ace High gas combi boiler. At present when you turn on the hot water tap, the boiler doesn't engage. A work around is to turn the tap off and back on with it on full flow for the boiler to acknowledge and start up. The central heating which is on a timer does manage to engage the boiler and heats up the water. The boiler was roughly installed in 2005. We are were informed that it may be the pressure valve that needs replacing. The boiler was last serviced in January 2011. The boiler is located upstairs in a bedroom. You can come Monday to Friday. We would like three quotes from local tradesmen.
