Temp repair then replace Back Boiler in Liscard

Job description:I have had my old Thorn Housewarmer S Back Boiler condemned at it's annual Gasboard inspection. This was due to a crack in the downdraft director assembly. The part is obsolete and a replacement is not available. There are two jobs which result from this. JOB 1 - Short term fix (to last approx 3 weeks). In order to get hot water back online (I do not have an immersion heater). Under advice I have had the assembly welded and tested as gastight. I have re-fitted the assembly but now need to be hooked back up to supply and smoke tested. This is to buy enough time for a more permanent solution so: JOB 2 - Advise and quote for replacement boiler (including most suitable type and location)including implications to existing hot water supply and dated central heating system.
