Find where leak is in loft room in Abbey

Job description:We had a loft room put in we are unable to move in because every time we have heavy rain/wind it leak along skirting board. Builders been back 5 times cannot find the problem and suggest it's nothing to do with the work they did and that the problem was there all along. It would be stupid to move into the loft with the leak and it's been suggested that we find the leak before doing the work.
