Job description:We would like a quote for repair of the roof and replacement of damaged or broken tiles on a house we are preparing to buy. The original tile covered roof is showing signs of deterioration: slipped and broken tiles, also some dislodged tiles, particularly to the rear lower roof slope. It’s a 5 bed house / 2,700sq foot in Raynes Park There is also some deterioration to the chimney stacks (may need repointing) and older sections of cast iron guttering – not sure if you can also quote for repairs for these There were also damp issues noted in the attic extension related to the window flashings or seals – not sure this is something you can also investigate / quote for Longer term there are likely to be repairs required for the roof of the extension also, so we’d like to get a rough quote for repairs to this: “The single storey extension to the rear has a flat zinc covered roof. There was some evidence of ponding noted. Whilst no damp penetration was apparent at the present time, the roof must be considered to have limited life and future re-surfacing, including the provision of an additional fall to be created should be considered in the longer term. Also it is important to maintain an adequate seal around the skylight at all times.”
