Penetrating damp to upper gable wall, defective chimney pointing and gutter replacement. in Farsley
Needed: Roofer in Farsley, LS28
Job submitted:Feb 19, 2008
Job description:We have lived in the house for just over a year, it is a Victorian stone-built end terrace with a pitched slate roof. There are probably three aspects to the works needed: (1) There are 2 areas of penetrating damp to the 2nd floor gable elevation, I think one is caused by a patch of defective pointing near the roofline and the other caused by damp entering via the chimney, although the roof covering will need inspecting. Repairs required as necessary. (2) The gutter to the rear of the property is in poor condition, may be leaking and is likely in need of replacement. (3) The pointing to the coping stones and chimney is defective and is in need of replacement. Also I understand there are a couple of broken tiles that need replacing. I have a quote for the work so have a starting point in terms of cost, but would welcome further quotes.
Budget:£250 - £500
