Fix leak into both gable ends of attic- detached in Crookes

Job description:Plaster is damp in the attic on both gable ends. House is detached and gable ends are rendered. Roof is steep and is synthetic slate tiled. It has been 'fixed' so not sure where the water is getting in, could be through the render? Chimneys have cowels on. Would expect scaffolding is necessary.
