We've a persistent attic leak that manifests itself on the plasterwork on the chimney breast in Nether Edge

Job description:We've twice had the plastering on the inside chimney breast replaced but leak keeps re-appearing. Previous roofers have renewed flashing at base of chimney stack, repointed brickwork towards the bottom of the stack and also replaced the lead gulley where back of the stack meets the roof. Leak keeps re-appearing but elswhere roof appears to be sound. Very confusing!
