Job description:We live in a semi detached house with a slate roof. The attic houses bedroom number 3 and there is a small section of damp on the ceiling at the party wall end (opposite the gable end). There is a chimney breast here. We think the damp is coming in either through the chimney stack itself or because of worn flashing around the chimney. We do not use the chimney, having no fires in the house. Our neighbours use one chimney for their wood burner. We need someone to go up on the roof and establish the root cause of the water ingress and give a quote for repair.
