Repair of Veritas R8 intruder alarm in West Sleekburn

Job description:The intruder alarm was installed in 2000. We have lived in the house for 6 years and had no problems with the alarm. Last weekend the external bell went off for around 20 minutes when the alarm was not set. We could not stop the alarm because all power has gone from the keypad and the control panel. As far as we can tell, the main fuse for the circuit has not blown, as our smoke alarms are on the same circuit and still work when the fuse box switch is on. We require someone to find the problem and hopefully mend the alarm. We use the alarm nearly everyday and are keen to get it fixed ASAP. The house is a 4 bed house. There are 7 zones set. Motion detectors in all downstairs rooms and entry detectors on 2 house doors and 3 garage doors. The alarm has a rechargeable battery which presumably is the one installed in 2000, as it's definitely the same one since we moved in in 2002.
