The lock on my aluminium sliding patio doors has jammed in the locked position in New Cross

Job description:The two locking bolts have a phillips screw head to enable tightening/untightening. The lock wasn't engaging properly so I tightened the bolts, and when I closed the door, I could not reopen it. It seems that the bolts have been tightened a bit too much so that they are now jarring on the inside of the locking plate.
