Job description:I live in a typical 2 up 2 down Victorian terrace. There is a wired burglar alarm [Pyronix Paragon Plus] in the house with two door sensors (1 front door, 1 kitchen door), and 1 PIR sensor in the dining room. There are no sensors upstairs. I removed the PIR and cut the wires connected to it thinking it was no longer working, but didn't link any remaining wires and the system now does not set. I tried to exclude that zone from the panel keypad, and even opened the panel itself to have a closer look, but to no avail. The wires coming from the floor to the PIR were cut flush with the floor so to get access to them would be difficult. I need advice about whether to replace just the front panel and reconnect the existing door sensors, and try to re-use the wiring for a new PIR..... Or replace the whole system altogether. As I really don't want more drilling through walls and pulling up floor boards, etc, I am interested in a wireless system. In summary, the job would be to disconnect and remove the existing main panel and either replace it with a new one and re-use the existing wiring [if possible] or install a new wireless system. The wireless system would include: Control panel/ keypad; 3 PIRs; 2 door sensors. If I end up going for the wireless system I would expect a good quality one, preferably the PYRONIX Enforcer 32WE GB, or the Scantronic I-ON 16. If this cannot be provided I could purchase it myself separately, in which case only the installation would be required. Thanks
