Job description:Previously reliable cement-based tanking to basement room (living room) has been compromised as a result of new chased in pipework. Ground-moisture is now penetrating into the living area and a new damp-proof system therefore needs to be installed. Possible rising damp prob on party walls of same room. The problem is in the main living area, and so following treatment the room will need to be dry-lined/plastered and left ready for decoration and habitation ASAP.
