Job description:I'm based in Bristol and would like a quote to install blown fibre insulation in my loft. The lost is part boarded over the central section (about 4m x 4m), with no/little insulation below the boards. It is not possible to remove the boards as the previous owner has built partition stud walls on top of the boards, which I don't want to take down. Access to underneath the boards is possible from either side of the boarded area, hence I thought blown insulation would be possible. The depth of the cavity is about 8 inches and there is about 1/2 to one inch of very old rolled insulation under the boards. The rest of the lost space (about a 2 metre border around the central boarded area) is insulated with rolled insulation, about 8 inches thick.
