Job description:We have just had a surveyors report on a property we are looking to buy. Apparently our suspended timber ground floors require ventilation. This is to prevent an accumulation of moisture within the floor voids, which could lead to wet or dry rot to the timbers. Apparently there are an inadequate number of airbricks of sufficient size in the external walls to provide satisfactory ventilation under the floors.
