Job description:Findings from survey report provided: Internal wall of rear bedroom 17% at risk Front bedroom has original fireplace. It's flue is damp with rainwater, 33% moisture content Timbers adjoining damp walls may be affected by rot. Excessive dampness of kitchen floor, 21% moisture content Wall under kitchen sink 33% moisture content and there is a large hole in the external wall in the cupboard under the sink. Excessive dampness in lounge tile hearth of fireplace, 30% moisture content. Cloakroom has 23% moisture content Understair store internal skin of external walls 24% moisture content. There is excessive dampness in the internal faces of the external walls. Moisture readings evidenced at the survey indicate that the damp proof course is now failing in the areas stated. They have recommended a chemically injected damp proof course should be installed to the walls as stated. They recommended "Sovereign" low odour injection fluid is installed by a specialist contractor who will issue a guarantee. They estimated this would cost in the region of £2,000 + VAT = £2,300 to rectify the problem.
